A touch of Fall is in the air in Newnan Georgia, but it’s only a tease!

Fall is just around the cornerWe were treated to temperatures in the low 50’s in Newnan Georgia this morning, and the respite from the sweltering heat is quite a relief!

It looks like the rest of the holiday weekend will be quite pleasant for all of the traditional outdoor activities.

And while there is a touch of Fall in the air, the weather prognosticators say that it is only a tease, with daily highs returning into the 90’s through the middle of September.

But the pervasive hot weather will not impede the onset of Autumn, my favorite season of the year. I love the cooler weather, college football, sweet cider, and long drives in the North Georgia mountains.

Today I will enjoy the perfect weather. And I will patiently wait for Nature to run its course!

Richard, I am itching for those fall photos, LOL. I too love this time of year. Today I have the windows open, the cool air is making the house actually COLD, isn't it wonderful???? I am thinking about taking a quick trip to take a photo I have in mind.... ahhhh... what a weekend!

Richard, I was listening to the weather person before I left for work this morning, he commented that the top of Mount Washington (North east highest peak 6,300 ft) in New Hampshire was 32 degrees this morning.

I, too, am loving this touch of fall. Some of our autumn-blooming plants out back have begun to blossom, and I haven't had to turn the a/c on for days now. It's just wonderful. Also, I've seen you use this photo a few times now, and every time I see it, it makes me think of where I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. It's such a gorgeous and serene photo.
