Yes, it's a Special Day it's my Birthday!!! What a wonderful day I'm having so far. My wife Lesia along with our dogs Kris Kringle and St. Nick are at our lake house in Heber Springs, Ar. We arrived Wednesday night and have really enjoyed the long weekend!!
Well let me tell you what a wonderful morning it's been. Kris Kringle and myself got up about 3:30 this morning and came to screen porch. We've watch the sunrise after watching it set last night. What a Special Treat the Lord has Provided. Not me the Sunrise and Sunset!! We watched the birds as they started feeding around 6-6:30 this morning. The Hummingbirds has been so wonderful to watch this weekend. St. Nick got up and joined us about 7 and we've continued to watch the birds and listen to the wind as it moves through the trees. OH how Special that sound is the wind moving through the trees.
Then it was time to check out Facebook and what a wonderful surprise with all the birthday wishes. You know Facebook is really special it provides us with ways to keep up with friends from the past that other wise we would have no connection with anymore. It's just been so much fun reading all the messages.
Now ,let me back up and tell you what we did on Friday. We have some very some very special neighbors in there mid 80's Bill and Judy that watch over our house. On August the 24th Bill turned 84 so we had a little birthday dinner for him (and me) with 2 other couples. Lesia and I had so much fun cooking and getting ready for our company. We both love to cook so we tried a few new recipes out and of course some tried and true recipes as well. The 2 big treats BQ Ribs that I cooked for 6 hours and even if I say so myself they were wonderful. But the hit of the night was a new Lemon Icebox Pie that took forever to make topped with Chantilly Cream. The Evening was wonderful with our Friend. We had dinner outside under the stars and it was so special.
Yesterday the family which is Leisa, Kris and Nick we spend the day on the Lake and found a wonderful quite spot to rest and relax. We also saw something new at the lake for us. We located a small cave and watched 2 beavers playing around. Oh things that nature provides when we just take the Time to set back watch and listen. I think I mentioned the Sunset earlier but there is nothing for spectacular then the Sunset at Heber Springs from the Boat.
Not sure what else will happen today but its been Wonderful so far!!
One Last Thing My Cell Phone is not Working!! I forgot how wonderful it is not having to answer that thing all the Time!!
