Google Launches Google Blogsearch- SEO Benefits Of Blogging!
Have you ever wanted to do a search for a topic and want just the blog stream of that topic to come up?Or if you are a blogger, how would you like to have your newsworthy posts show up in a search an editor does when he or she is searching content for a news article?I think that this is going to be a huge benefit for those who blog on serious and trendy topics. Google has had a blog search feature but this new launch is being able to search blogs on an exact topic and it gives different results. You may have noticed the blog search before but Google has added this quiet launch. There is speculation that Google may be looking at a new Google Patent.Blog Search can be searched not just in English but also in many other languages including French, Italian, German, Japanese, Spanish to name a few. It searches all across the blogosphere.
Go to Google.com and put in your search terms. Then on the left side of the page click on the "more" link and click on "Blogs". You can also click on "Advanced Search" and there you can search by a specific title, author or other search criteria. You also get the choice of searching by most relevant or most recent. I like that one because there are times I search for time sensitive information and on the regular search I get old stuff dated back to 2006 and it is no longer applicable today.Google's goal is to get every blog included. How do you get your blog included? You ca use Google Blog Search Pinging service. That will alert Google that your blog is there and it should then be listed in Google Blog search. You can also manually submit your blog. You can subscribe to your blog searches also through RSS. Google gives you that option at the bottom of each page. Here you can see more blog posts about your search term. How can you put this to use in your SEO on your blogs and websites? You could create a script based on your search and then pull those blogs right into an RSS feed that you can add to your blog and website. To learn more about taking your blog and website to the top- take our SEO To The Top Course.
