Last Hoorah for the Summer?

Oh, I hope not.  Summer went too fast this year.  Of course, the weather was nice.  We had lots of rain in the Spring and the flowers were beautiful all along the highways in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Bluebonnets

Then the first weekends on the "Market Square" around the courthouse was fun.  Shopping all the vendors goods from jewelry, to tye dye t-shirts to funnel cakes and roasted corn.  The Fourth of July celebration in Louise Hays Park was spectacular as always with fireworks in the evening, bands in the afternoon, and food booths and face painting.  It was fun for all!

Swimming with friends, cooking on the grill.  Swinging on the porch, listening to the sounds of the night.

River parade on the Guadalupe in August brought out many visitors and lots of creative engineering.  Summer camps, tubing, and swinging from ropes tied in the cypress trees, summer was fun in Kerrville and the beautitul Texas Hill CountryThe Point Theatre in Ingram had some great performances and sitting on the banks of the Guadalupe while local actors recreate their stories is so enjoyable.

Labor Day is here and the weather was foggy and misty this morning reminding us Autumn is just around the corner.         The last watermelon,  watermelon

Last swim

the last swim is well on its way to memory until next year.

I'm not ready for the fun to be over.

Did you do all the things you wanted to do this summer?  Did you take advantage of the tax credits offered to home buyers this year?  Have you purchased a new home at the lowest interest rates in decades?  Did you get a good buy on a home while the prices were a little softer?  If not, don't miss your chance.  Summer is almost over!

Hi Andy,   A lot of rain heading our way this week.  That will help to cool things off.

Hi Richard,  I don't like the 100 degree weather either but we haven't had that much this year.
