What is the program for??
The program is designed to give back to these "heroes" when buying, selling, or refinancing a home! When using an affiliate Realtor during your purchase or sell, you receive back significant rebates. The average saving on a $100,000 home is $1800 if you are using an affiliate lender as well. Inspectors in our area also give discounts if going through the program!
Why?
The program was created after the 9/11 tragedy... now a national program that have affiliates across the country! The idea is to give back to those who serve us daily, many times laying their lives on the line for us, our country, and our freedom. For The Home Search BCS Team, the program came to us, and as we found out more about the program we could only be for it! With the program since early 2009, over $30,000 was given back to our heroes in the first 2 years in Bryan College Station and a few of the surrounding counties!
What if I am already working with a Realtor?
If you have signed legal agreements with a Realtor, unfortunately, by law, you cannot work with a Homes for Heroes Realtor. However, assuming you have not committed to a mortgage lender, you may still be able to take advantage of the rebates provided by a HFH Mortgage Affiliate.
How do I get signed up?
