Support Marietta and West Cobb Business Owners!!!

It has been said time and time again in recent months that 80+% of the workforce in the United States comes from local businesses.  We all must pull together and help the ones that play in extremely important role in our country's economic recovery.  Frequent the local coffee shop, "mom and pops" restaurants, etc!  There is nothing better than to see local businesses succeed in good times and especially the bad.

Here's to the all the local businesses out there that are taking a chance at fulfilling their dreams and doing their share in contributing to the economic recovery of the United States!!  Let's support them and do our share too!

Mary, taking it to the next step and ask the local business to help you while you're helping to promote them..."Let's promote each other out of this recession" also, putting together a vendors list and asking for their support as you promote them in a list that perhaps is handed out at Open House, sent to past clients, and given to your new homeowners at closing...I have a tri-fold that on one side I list electrician, plumber, landscapers, etc., on the other side I list Drs., hair stylists, etc...it has been a great tool for me, as well as my clients looking for service providers in our area...the trick is in keeping it up to date..

I agree. There are so many mom and pop shops closing in our area. It's really sad to see and I always try to go to a mom and pop restaurant over a chain restaurant.

Mary, so true! Not always possible, but WHENEVER possible, buy local!

I love Kathy's recommendation as well! A vendor list has been on my "to do list" for too many years & I need to get it done!

My husband and I were just talking about ways to promote local businesses and in turn they help promote us as well.  After all, I consider myself a local business!  It's a win win for everyone!
