A 50% fee increase, are you kidding me. In our current economic environment who in their right mind would do such a thing? How is that for a headline? That seems like a headline that would doom any politician in this day and age. It did just happen however it is not any where near as bad as it sounds.
The San Jacinto River Authority, who controls Lake Conroe, did increase its' license and permit fees effective September 1, 2010. The authority raised the minimum residential dock fee from $40 to $60 a year. This is the first increase in over six years. Over all I think that is still a pretty good deal in this day and age. When you think about it $5.00 a month to rent you own little piece of our beautiful lake is still a pretty good deal in any economic times.
And if you get a chance check out my new waterfront listing: 8,192 sf, no that is not a typo, it is that big. It has EVERYTHING including an outdoor kitchen with dishwasher and boatdock with room for six boats. Write me a check today (a good check please) for a paltry $1,680,000. MLS#71808764 on www.har.com.
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend.
