Not the everyday Labor Day Weekend at Venice Beach/Marina Del Rey, CA

Not the everyday Labor Day Weekend at Venice Beach/Marina Del Rey, CA .  I am accustomed to the usually very crowded event. I remember hundreds of people circling, looking for parking spaces as they were trying to avoid paying a fee for parking.  This year I did not see that.  So I decided to take a stroll and walk to the beach to see what was going on?

I found the beach vacant, hardly anyone out there. I understand the Weather Forecasters missed their predictions. They said there will be a strong marine layer with a cold front moving in. Needless to say it was 70+ degrees and sunshine.

Nevertheless most people would not listen to the Weather and would go to the beach anyway. So I wonder where the people are.   Anyway see for yourself and enjoy the photos.

Hi Endre!  Wow!  That is shocking that so few are out for the normally popular holiday celebration.  I too, wonder where everyone was.  At least you had the beach to yourself and captured some gorgeous photos!

Have a wonderful week...

Endre - THAT is totally off the mark for this last holiday of the year for the beach. Usually it is wall to wall people. And agree on the parking. I would have wanted to be there but my ISP server had me on the phone for 3 hours today. THAT was fun. Fixed now moving on.

Atleast you did not have to watch stepping on anyone or getting hit in the head with a Frisbee.

I didn't think that Venice Beach was ever empty.  Odd.  Beautiful pictures.

Wow - that is really odd. It doesn't cost much money to head to the beach - unless the travelers just didn't want to spend gas money. Nice photos.
