When my wife and I were expecting our second son we realized our current home wasn't going to cut it. It was a small 2 bedroom 1 bath 900 sq. ft. rowhome in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia. I'd been working in Newtown, Bucks County, where I grew up, as a Realtor for a couple of years and was ready to move back home. I didn't want to be too far from work, I wanted a home our family could grow into, I wanted a good school district, and I wanted a kid friendly neighborhood. I found all this and more for a price I could afford in Tapestry!
Being a Realtor I already knew I wouldn't get as much bang for my buck in some of the Newtown communities, so I began looking in Holland, and it wasn't long before I found the perfect home. It offered 3 bedrooms, one and a half baths with the ability to add a master bath, a yard, a finished basement with an office and storage, and the neighborhood offers 2 great playgrounds, 2 basketball courts, a tennis court, and a pool, plus it is directly across from the Rolling Hills Elemetary School. It was a slam dunk for me! Since living here now for 4 years my family has enjoyed all the benefits of being in this fantastic Holland neighborhood.
One thing I love about living in Tapestry is that right down the street is the Village Shires Shopping Center which is within walking distance of our home. My eldest son and I have have walked to Dunkin Donuts in the morning to grab some donuts, bagels, and coffe for the family. We've enjoyed eating out at Aldo's one of the best Pizzeria's around! We've enjoyed taking the kids to Rita's after swimming in the neighborhood pool, and when wearen't with the kids we've enjoyed being able to walk to Peter Pox's so we don't have to worry about who's driving home! Another great thing about having The Village Shires Shopping Center so close by is the Village Market. I can't tell you how many times I'm driving down Buck Rd.and I realize "Crap! I forgot to pick up milk for breakfast." No big deal because I can swing into the Village Market. The shopping center also has a pharmacy which is very convenient.
Top Reason's For Living In Tapestry, in Holland, PA
1. Great School District
Next year my eldest son will begin school which I'm really excited about as Rolling Hills is a great elementary school, and eventually (many years from now) he will attend Council Rock Hish School South which recently was named in the top 6% of public schools nationwide by Newsweek! I'm excited that he will be able to walk to school until 6th grade and will later on be able to walk to one of the best public high schools in the country!
2. Great Location
I work at Prudential Fox & Roach Realtor's in Newtown so Tapestry is a great location for me, but even if you work in Philly or NJ Tapestry is only about 10 minutes from I95 so it's easy to get were you need to go.

Being able to walk, or swing by The Village Shires Shopping Center for a night out, to grab breakfast, pick up perscriptions, etc.
4. Great Ammenities
Tapestry offers a great pool where we have enjoyed many summer days and nights. Two basketball courts, a tennis court, and two playgrounds. The neighborhood is also very pet friendly and since the entire loop around Tapesrty is approximately a mile we walk our dogs several times around to tire them out. Tapestry has even installed pet trash bag stands around the loop so it's easier to pick up after your dog.
We got more bang for our buck in Holland than we would have in some of the surrounding areas, but we didn't have to give up the great schools, we are within a short drive to some awesome towns such as Newtown, Yardley, New Hope, Doylestown etc. so we can always find something to do.
