Rye Lions Car Show

 

This show is one that I look forward to each year, and I highly recommend that you check it out if you have never been.

I have a previous engagement on the 19th so I am hoping for rain so I won't have to miss it this year. 

The Rye Lions Car Show is held at Parsons Field, Washington Road in Rye.

Admission is just $3 for spectators and $10 for cars

Car Registration is 8:00 - 11:00 and trophies are awarded at 2:00.

The Rye Lions Car Show is a qualifying event for the Super Wheels Showdown, which will be held at City Hall Plaza in Boston on October 2nd.  The Super Wheels Showdown is by invitation only and features the Top 100 "Super Cruise" and "Best of Show" vehicles from all over the Northeast. 

 

The Rye Lion's members represent a diverse cross section of the community who are sincerely interested in supporting our community and the Lions' mission of fighting preventable blindness, world-wide.

Summer isn't summer without a classic car show...Unfortunately, I didn't get to one this year. :-(

Do I see some of my dream cars there: '57 Chevy Bel Airs???  Wish I could come!

Kathie:  Sorry you didn't get to a car show this year.  I went to a small one yesterday and saw some beauties.  I really hope this one ends up on it's raindate so I can make it. 

As for bloggin...I'm determined to complete the 30/30...God help me!

Sounds like great fun Sharon, I would love it, my brother Tony would love it more.  You'll meet this 30/30 challenge, after all, you're the one who told me about it.........LOL.

Roger:  I wish you and Tony were here to go to the show...we would have a great time!  Thanks for the faith in my blogging fortitude...I am going to need it.

Lou:  This is a great show and they do have some great cars!

Joshua:  I can only go if they have to switch to the rain date, so I'm hoping for rain next weekend!

Sharon, my brother-in-law would love this.  He has old cars and trucks; even has an old fashioned gas pump.  Looks like a great way to spend time outdoors.

Well, this picture brings back memories. My family lived in a house in Connecticut that was red with white trim and I remember how proud my father was the day he drove home in a 1955 two-tone red-and-white Oldsmobile!
