Cadbury of Lewes is holding a Quilt and Arts Festival this Friday and Saturday, September 10 & 11, in the main building of its campus on Gills Neck Rd. Quilts and quilted items created by the Ocean Waves Quilt Guild will be on display and some available for sale, Pottery, jewelry and other artistic expressions will also be on display and sale throughout the event.
Kevin Fleming will be the Featured Artist at the Wine & Sweet Dreams Reception Friday night, from 7-9pm. Fleming will be on hand to discuss his latest book, Wild Delmarva. The $20 admission price includes delicious desserts, specially selected wines, live music provided by pianist Doug James, and a chance to win a framed and signed Kevin Fleming print.
Jeanne Booth, long-time Rehoboth resident, artist and quilter, will be the Featured Quilter at the event and have many of her pieces on display. Ludmilla (Lucy), Morgan, winner of many ribbons at the Delaware State Fair in 2009 and 2010, will show a variety of her fine works of quilted art. Morgan also created a quilt based on Kevin Fleming's print, "Lunch To Go," and it will be debuted at Friday's reception.
All proceeds from the event, including 25% of all art/quilt purchases, will benefit the Cadbury Foundation.
