Save a Tree - PDF - The Built in Typewriter

Real Estate Agent with Downing-Frye Realty, Bonita Springs, FL 676419

Today one of the gals from accounting called me and in the course of conversation thanked me for typing my escrow receipts because they're easier to read.  It's not so much about the neatness for me but for saving paper and ink.  There are a variety of things I add to PDF forms anddocuments before sending them off to buyers, sellers or administration ... and I do it all without printing, signing and re-scanning.  I'm creating this post to link out to a few  fellow agents that needed help finding the feature.  If you learned something from it, yippee!  If you're looking for the typewriter function in your pdf software, it's right here under Tools>Typewriter>Typewriter

Good tip.

For those who don't have Adobe Acrobat (or perhaps choose not to buy it), there are some very handy shareware products that'll do the same thing. I personally use PDF995 -- available at http://www.pdf995.com There are some other equally good ones out there.

For anyone who's technologically challenged, it works the same as printing a document from your PC. Basically, you download the program. It creates a print driver. That means when you tell your computer to print, it'll give you the same selection of printers you see today. But you'll see one more: PFD995. You just choose that "printer." Then print. It'll produce a PDF file that you can store anywhere on your computer. Then create an e-mail, and attach your new document to it, and e-mail it. Quick and simple.

Chris, Thanks for the great tip.  Like you, I like to have everything typewritten.  And of course, we all love to save trees.
