Your Attitude, like your slip is showing!

Good Grief: When you answer questions online take one more step and when you spell check, grammar check and re-read what you wrote-for heaven's sake if you are in a bad mood-Let the post sit overnight! It stays out there forever and while you may not feel that way tomorrow the attitude is still out there-showing your worst side. Rumor has it folks like to work with Happy people-you are doing yourself a huge disservice to post something negative when you could just as easily have waited overnight and posted it from a brighter perspective. Faith in the economy hasn't gone up recently due to the encouraging news we have heard from the media and it hasn't helped our business to remind anyone of the "facts". When I read other peoples posts that don't offer encouragement to people who are simply asking for information it disturbs me. It is a reflection on all of us that more negativity is thrown on a fire that has enough fuel. My facts are slightly different: This is a good market to buy and that is a fact! With a professional REALTOR it is also a good market to sell.

Enough said- now on to a happier note-I am so excited to see so many people that I know locally jumping into the blogging waters and most have some really great information to share with the world. I want to share a neat site that you may find of interest in a positive way. I did a class last week for our office about networking and as one of my agents who has been through it before has said-this is a good one. I want to share a list of places to go to meet people-people who may or may not be thinking about moving but, if you give to get you just might get something back. Ask them how you can help them and sincerely try to do so. You have to do a little bit of work to get this- Go here and get a GitBit of places to go to find folks with whom to network. My favorite author and for those who don't like to read you will love this guy! Small, short, full of fabulous content, Books.

Find a way to enjoy this day and share it by helping someone else.

Doris, It all goes back to that wise advice from my Mother.  "If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.". I have found it true in the written word also.

Doris, it does pay to take a moment and step back to re-evaluate what one has written before posting it, especially when one has written something in their moment of passion or anger.

Oh Marchel so True!

My mother as well and the Golden rule comes along there too but, this was a comment that was just plain too crabby to be posted.  One more thought and it would not have been posted - that was my main thought tonight. Pause and remember why we blog, what is the purpose, then stick to the goal.

I will admit the advice is to myself as well as it is easy to get off track when we talk to each other this way. I do try to keep my glass half full even when there are days when it gets dumped out before the sun rises. My parents gifted me with HOPE and FAITH and who knew we would need those tools in the REALTOR toolkit this year? Thanks for your comments!

I think that maintaining a positive attitude is of the utmost importance.  And grammar and spell check are second...you need to hold yourself out as a professional that knows how to push that ABC button!

Doris - thank you for sharing the information about gitbit.  There are too many ways to meet and help people at the same time not to find something that you are comfortable with.
