St. Cloud Hospital and the CentraCare Health System are top rated. There have been multiple prestigious awards given to this fantastic group of men and women who help keep our area's health standards some of the highest in the nation.
The Top 100 hospital list for 2009 was recently announced from Thomson Reuters® and included the St. Cloud Hospital which was honored in the Teaching Hospitals Category.This is not the first award, in the 17 years the honor has been given, St. Cloud Hospital has been included 8 times. The St. Cloud Hospital has also received the highest recognition from Thomson Reuters®, The Everest Award, the honor of Magnet Designation twice, the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence, Joint Commission Accreditation and the U.S. News & World Report - Top 50 Ranking. A big part of their success with the patients is the success with the people who work there, for the 2nd year in a row CentraCare Health System has been recognized as the #1 Best Place to Work in Minnesota by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal,in the large company category. The CentraCare Health System currently employs approx. 6,000 people.
The CentraCare Health Care System is a group of central Minnesota Health Care professionals including the Hospitals in St. Cloud, Melrose and Long Prarie along with nearly a dozen clinics, 4 long term care facilities and multiple specialty care services. The medical community is strong here in the St. Cloud area, which means well paying jobs, and good quality health care for people from all over the region.
