Learn To Say "NO"

No is such a small world but so so hard to say. When trying to manage your time effectively focusing on your goals will help. Blocking time for important, but often not scheduled priorities such as family and friends can also help. But first you must be convinced that you and your priorities are important. THis is the mindset to have when dealing with the hardest part which is learning to say NO! Once you are convinced of their importance saying no to the unimportant in life gets easier. Sometimes is too hard to do just that. Especially if you have important deadlines that have to met and you need to donate some time to meet them push everything and everybody aside and get to it. Instead of taking that long lunch with your pals bring lunch from home and eat at your desk. I been in the unfortunate position when people are envious of my success and they intentionally try to distract and get my attention. These people never phased me and all i did was said "no". What is the most difficult position in your career whereby you had to say no to somebody or took time away and it ended up hurting you?

Eddy,

The hard part for me is to say no to someone who is asking me to serve on some committee at the Association, MLS or local Chamber of Commerce.

I am getting better at it but they keep sucking back in.  But I like being a part and giving something back.

But to be able to give my all to my agents, my customers and my local community I know I need to say no once in a while so I can maintaine balance and hign service.

Eddy, it took me a long time to learn how to say that little word. Not only is important to learn it when it comes to business distractions, but also to say it when it is interfering with the family.

There are going to be things that try to take you away from spending quality time with that beautiful little baby in your picture, have to say no to those distractions.  Everything will be there and can wait, but the time that you have with your children only comes around once.

Glad that you have learned that word Eddy, it is a major step in life.
