Here is my monthly report of Housing Statistics for the Greater Binghamton Area.
In August, the average sales price for a residential home was $122,584 when the average list price was $129,944. This is a list to sell ratio of 94%. The good news is that the average days on market was down to 85 days from a high, this year, of 115 days in June.
The end-of-month housing inventory stands at 1508 which hasn't changed much over the last few days. In our Greater Binghamton Area market this represents a 10.3 month absorption rate. Lots to choose from!
The median sales price of a home in the Greater Binghamton Area is $102,500, a slight dip from the July median sales price of $104,616.
The Greater Binghamton Area continues to boast some of the most affordable housing in the country. With interest rates still hovering around 4%, it is a great time to buy a home.
