I've Gotta Give Props to These Newbies 'Cause They're Kicking up Dust in the Rain

If you haven't read this wonderful post from Charita Cadenhead, pls do.  First of all, she gives kudos to some excellent newbie Active Rainers.  They are GREAT peeps to follow.  I was astounded to learn that most of them are newbies...that's how good their blogs are.

And, of course, if you're not yet subscibed to Charita, pls head over there immediately.  She is an amazing blog writer, has a great attitude and is in my mind an honorary Active Rain ambassador.

PS: sorry abt the accidentally reblogged post a few mins ago.  I'm tired and clearly need more sleep.

I've Gotta Give Props to These Newbies 'Cause They're Kicking up Dust in the Rain (30CD19)

I just browsed back through July and August to see who had joined AR and most importantly who appeared as if they had staying power.  There are so many more and I'll get to them, but these few just shot darts at my forehead as I scrolled through the list.

Emmary Nicholson

My main man Craig Daniels is blogging with a vengeance.  Craig is a natural at simplifying seemingly complicated processes.  His step by step approach has gained him a fast and furious following.  Great job Craig.  You da man.

Next up:  Emmary Nicholson.  Once the AR family gave Emmary Nicholson some topics to talk about, she became determined that she was in this blogging thing to win it.  She learned quickly that list go over really well and hence her 365 Things to Do in Southern NM was born.

Peggy BouchardThen there's Peggy Noel Bouchard (left). She's been consistent and we can get a feel for how she approachLisa Hickses task.  Her post are short and sweet but the messages don't escape us."  She says what she has to say and then she's done with it.

Lisa Hicks (right) is a Newbie too.  She's taken on the 30 Day Challenge (30DC) and she's tagged herself "Unstoppable Woman."  She's a woman on a mission.  The 30DC is not a walk in the park.  It's HARD  even for me and Lisa kind of tuckered out around Day 10 but Day 11 proved she was not to be defeated.

Barbara Chatterton

Barbara Chatterton of Middleton has taken on the challenge also.  She's kind of the voice of reason to me.  Her post are filled with the little hints and tips that buyers and sellers tend to leave off of their to do list come moving time.  If you ask me she's a practical kind of gal. Somebody's got to do it and that's probably what makes Barbara's service so valuable.  There's got to be somebody in the room to make sense of things.

Honorable mentions goes to Scott Hayes (right) and Christine Pappas (lower left) .  That darned Scott just puts me in mind ofScott Hayes a kid who was born grown.  I don't know how old he is, but he looks much younger than me and in which case I keep thinking "this kid is wise beyond his years."  Regardless of his age, his thoughtful and thought provoking posts are what counts around here.  He's turned out to be a feature post magnet.

Christine PappasChristine on the other hands comes of as being spunky (her picture reflects that too.  But I want to mention Christine as an Old Newbie because starting back in January 2010, she would post something here or there.  But beginning in August 2010 he came back, so to speak, and she's been whipping out post ever sense.  Seems Christine probably wished she had been as diligent the first time around, but hey, it's never to late to come play in the rain.

There are certainly others like Debbie GarnerSteve and Carol DavisJack Mosmann.  The one thing I'm hoping more than anything is that they are here for the long haul.  I hope that they see the value in being here.  Although it took me a while to realize that value, I just kept plugging away hoping someday it would pay off and holy cow, has it.
