I've been fortunate that my immediate family has not been affected by breast cancer, and I only know one person who has had breast cancer. Nonetheless, breast cancer research is on our annual list of charitable donations.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

September 26, 2010

Race for the Cure Finish Line

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is  coming to Newport Beach on September 26, 2010 and it will be held at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. I participated last year in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and it was an amazing event. There were over 30,000 participants. The Susan G. Komen Race raises money for breast cancer research and to find a cure.

This year, we have created a team, and the name is: "I Love My Lady Lumps” and you are welcome to join our team. I Love My Lady Lumps is team number 1535. From the link, you can join our team if you like. Click on "join team", then register for the early event at 7:35 am.

Our team will have matching tee shirts. If you join our team, you will get a tee shirt to wear as part of our team.

LadyLumps

This Race for the Cure is for an excellent cause, as it raises money for breast cancer. And the national average is that one in eight women will be diagnosed with it, and in Orange County California, the average is one in seven women.

If you decide that you do not want to run/walk with our team, would you consider donating to the cause?
