Today is the ninth anniversary of the worst tragedy that the United States of America has experienced in my lifetime. I can still feel the sadness and the terror I felt watching this unfold in front of my eyes on television.
When I first learned of the terrorist attack I heard it on the radio, I was putting up signs on the other end of the county. Terrified not knowing what was going on I went straight to the high school and checked my son out. Back at home glued to the television with my child safe within by reach, I watch the horrors unfold that forever changed the lives of thousands and this great country of ours. Sadness and grief overwhelmed me as it did the entire nation for the senseless act of terrorism that took place that day.
Fly your American flag today to honor those who lost their life on that tragic day, and for our servicemen and women fighting abroad to preserve our freedom. Together as a nation we will prevail and win the battle over terrorism.
