Just because the summer is over doesn't mean the state parks are shutting down, some of the best sight seeing happens during the glorious fall foliage season. Here are a few things to do and places to go, all a short distance from Lincoln New Hampshire.
Franconia Notch State Park has endless adventures for your family, from Cannon Mountain's Aerial Tramway to miles of hiking trails to the Flume Gorge and everything in between!

Recreation Path | An 8 mile recreation path for bicycles and pedestrians that runs the length of the park from the Flume Gorge to just north of Echo Lake. | |
Boise Rock | This great glacial erratic has been a part of the history and folklore of Franconia Notch for generations. | |
Profile Lake | The spring-fed headwaters of the Pemigewasset River, below the former profile of the Old Man. Fly-fishing only. | |

PETS: Pets are only permitted in Franconia Notch State Park in the designated dog walks in the Flume & Tramway parking lots. Pets are prohibited from Echo Lake Beach, Lafayette Campground, on the Tram and in the Flume Gorge.
If you would rather enjoy a tourist attraction that doesn't require a hike? How about Clark's Trading post they will be open for their famous bear shows until the Columbus day weekend.

The Kancamagus national designated scenic highway is a favorite trip with several look out points to stop for a photo opportunity...and when you are on the other side you'll arrive in North Conway an outlet store shopping mecca.
So whether you want to stretch your legs or relax in the passenger seat there is something for everyone in the White mountain to explore or be entertained by. All the above attractions , hikes and points of interest are in or boarder on Lincoln New Hampshire...the Home of Loon Mountain ski resort...but that is next season!!
