I love football season!  Don't ask me to quote the latest stats, name players, or rank teams because I can't. What I'm waiting for is that predictable anticipated Monday afternoon phone call from hubby, "want to grab some food and watch the game?"  What's better than finishing the work day grabbing a bite to eat and enjoying a football game on large screen with several exuberant fans?

Monday night football with friends

The vast and various selections of restaurants and pubs along the Powers corridor in Stetson Hills offers an array of dining experiences, but the requirements for Monday night football are quite specific: finger foods, good beer, comfortable atmosphere, and large screen TVs. The best 3 places we've found include Frankie's (south Powers), Fox and Hound, and Indigo Joes.

Indigo Joes is known for their burgers and the casual atmosphere makes it a winner in my book to end the work day and kick back on the way home.

Fox and Hound has a Monday special on tap beers which go quite nicely with a mix of their awesome appetizers.  Football, beer, chili cheese fries, and potato skins make for the perfect end to the day.  The rest of the week can be dedicated to a more health conscious diet.

Frankie'sserves some of the best green chili sauce around and the Slopper is one of their signature plates consisting of a burger smothered in green chili.  Inside you'll find an eclectic mix of individuals from after hour business crowd to local bikers, but the relaxed friendly atmosphere makes one expect to see Norm at the end of the bar.

Stetson Hills, Colorado Springs is a great neighborhood in which to live, work, play, and definitely the place to head for good food in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere while watching Monday night football.
