Homeowners have to repay the $8000 Tax Credit? What The?

I saw this article in the Wall Street Journal (well, it was a blog entry) and thought "WOW, there's a BIG gotcha for a lot of unsuspecting home owners who claimed this credit." It does have one creveat: the IRS hasn't figured out quite how to collect, but I don't think that will stop them.

It sounds to me like there will be a lot of disappointed home owners when they get a "bill" from Uncle Sam asking for the $8000 back.
