ASSOCIATIONS MY DOG BELONGS TO.

By
Home Inspector with United Professional Real Estate Inspectors, Inc.

It’s true.  Some so called “associations” in Home Inspections have certified my dogs.  Be wary of an inspector who claims other associations are better than CREIA (California Real Estate Inspectors Association) and ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors).   CREIA has a 50% failure rate because of the rigorous exam.  A CREIA certified inspector, will at least offer technical inspection knowledge that meets the industry standard in California.

ASHI is the national standard for home inspection. Make sure your inspector maintains this additional training and expertise for your protection.

You can check their credentials at www.creia.org and www.ashi.org.

Then again…you could always have my mutt Ashley do it.

It seems like all you need to do is fog a mirror to be an inspector.  The same used to be true for mortgages, but regulation is currently changing that.  Thanks!
