Yes, pets need love too, not just your family, although I will make a blog on family game night, just you wait. I have a zoo. My zoo has birds, cats, fish and a dog. I have a full, hairy house. I love my zoo. But I love my job too. It's hard to find the time to give everyone my full attention.
So I have a schedule. My Persian cat, wakes me up by purring in my ear, definitely better than alarm. I rub her belly and give her lots of affection. My next chore is my blue and gold macaw, I make her breakfast. That's right you heard me, not my husband, not my kids, not even me, my bird gets a restaurant treatment. Hey if she lives for 100 years, I have to be good to her.
Then it's time for me to multy-task. I have my coffee in my left hand, I'm petting my bird with my right. My right foot is barely reaching the dog at the foot of the couch. This morning the phone rang. It was my better half. He asked me if I was playing animal twister. Ha, Ha!
After my day is done, I take the bird out again and let her roam on her pearch while I write my blog. When it's time for TV, simply because I can not function to do any more work, my love bird can come out to give me kisses and sit on my shoulder. Sometimes, I get blessed with a little "present" left after his visit. Ah, you have to be a bird person to appreciate it.
So that's why it's one of my 365 things to do in Worcester County -play with your pet in Holden recommendations.
