Why is it important for me to tell you about this?

I got a phone call yesterday from a prospective buyer. We talked about his needs, I set him up to search the MLS on ListingBook, answered his questions about homes in Sun City AZ. He then said " I called 6 agents over the weekend, none answered and none have returned my call". REALLY?

If you are looking for an agent to help you buy or sell a home in Arizona's Sun Cities, call me, I'll answer!

I have survived in this business since 1998, I'm still here, and one reason is that I ANSWER MY PHONE!

That is shocking indeed. I am currently working with a couple that is very loyal to my efforts as I was the only one that they contacted that would work with them exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays, as that is the only time the two of them have available to look at homes.

Sharon, Jim, Shocking and amazing are just a few of the words to describe this behavior. Agents seem to do the same with email inquiries on their listings. I know they aren't that busy. I have had homes marked Call Listing agent to show. Again, no calls back.

This is probably the 30th post I've read this month with the same information. I just don't understand why this is happening. If you're not going to answer your phone, don't advertise. Become a secret agent. At least then, you won't be hurting the entire industry by acting as an "UN-professional."
