Woodcrest at Jacobs Hill 
I recently listed a condo in Cortlandt Manor, NY at Woodcrest at Jacobs Hill, an active adult community (55 and older) with everything one may need and desire.....and close enough to Peekskill train station to go see a show in NY.
You might be thinking of your retirement. You might be thinking of your parent/'s and assisting them in making a decision of where they want to be based on their lifestyle, age and health. You could also be thinking about the stairs in your home, and how one floor of easy living would be something to consider now or sometime in the near future. In my line of business I meet many people, as well the many people who just strike up conversations with me wherever I go... I don't know why this happens, could be my good looks... my captivating personality?? Of course I jest you (insert laughter). Eventually it comes out I am a RE agent and typically, (if they are over 55), the dialogue comes up "do I stay in Westchester even though taxes are high?", or "I want to stay in Westchester, but I don't want to maintain a property", sometimes people just lament about their knees or hip and dealing with stairs.
What I found are condominiums built in 2006 with detailed planning of open floor units with security, and 24 hour on-call assistance. Depending on one's lifestyle there is something for all: a clubhouse with a great room, card room, billiards room, fitness center, outdoor pool and the option to be social or not. Exercise and yoga classes available. Each unit has ample storage and either patios or terraces to take in the natural setting surrounding the complex. There are walking rails as well. A jitney is also available for close by shopping. have to say I was quite impressed, and I haven't even mentioned the low taxes!
Woodcrest at Jacobs Hill is located off of Route 6 with access to I-84, the Taconic Parkway and Bear Mountain Parkway. It's tucked away with private grounds but close enough to shopping and easy transportation.
