I had the pleasure of photographing some gorgeous homes during my latest visit to Maui, Hawaii. The latest shoot was at a beautiful home with the most amazing ocean view, settled on the Kaanipali golf course. The day was just like the typical Maui day as far as weather goes... warm, sunny, with a slight breeze. The type of weather I live for. Everything just seems a little better when on this island. When I walked out into the great room of this house... well, what can I say!!!
This is the backyard that you look out onto. What a gorgeous tropical setting. The walls are all glass sliding doors so that the entire living area becomes an incredible huge lanai... The photo below shows how open the entire back side of the home is.
The entire great room is open and facing the pool on the ocean side of the property. It takes your breath away!
The gourmet kitchen above is just one of this property's awesome features. The dark brown rectangle on the right hand side of the roof is the track for the sliding glass doors, which are visible by the woodwork in the informal living room on the right, just beyond the kitchen. If you look to the middle of the far right side of the photo above, you will see a bright area just above the dining chair. That is the B.B.-Q. area that you will see below.
Even B.B.-Qing is a tropical delight in this house!! I loved the layout of the great room and how the owners did such a good job of incorporating the ocean view into all areas of their home.
The picture below is of the golf course and ocean view from this side of the house. I would have complete tranquility in a home like this!!!
This photo was taken right behind the pool's water feature. The water feature is shown below. It brings a nice relaxing sound into the yard with the waterfall trickling down the rocks while the birds sing overhead.
What a fun way to work... I truly enjoy seeing all of the spectacular properties that are around the different areas. These properties are a treat for me to photograph. Oh how I love my job!!!
The best part about it all... The gorgeous sunsets at night!!! God's canvas is always beautiful and bright!!!
