Did you take care of your lawn?

It's Fall, and here on East Coast it's time for us to take care of our lawns.

It's well know, that the grass will be greener, if you winterize, lime, overseed your lawn some time after Labor day and before the snow sets in.

Also, we all know that curb appeal is very important for a house on the market.

It might be a good time now to contact your database, especially people who are planing to sell, (emails or news letters -  what have you),  and remind them about importance of the lawn care.

Just recently, I was checking out a listing, that went under agreement, but the deal didn't go through after the inspection, and the property is now back on the market. Updated description states, that some issues were found and have been corrected. Among them: seller is working on repairing the lawn after the hot/dry weather spell we had here in MA this summer. Lawn looked decent to me in the picture, by the way!

So, if you have someone planning to put the house on the market now - talk about the lawn. If they want to wait till Spring - none the less, repair lawn now, and be ready come spring!

Forearmed - is well prepared.

Just a thought.

(Now I'm off, researching lawn mowers, I need a new one - talk about listening to my own advice and FOLLOWING IT...)

Lawns are year round work and the work you do in the fall is what makes it look great in the summer next year.  I guess you have to sow to reap, kinda like real estate.

Hi Mary, that is so true! One can't let the lawn go, and then "make up" for it without consequences. Yet, if you have a first time home buyer, who maybe doesn't have this all under control yet - it's good to keep in touch with them, by reminding to take care of the lawn for example.
