Cheyenne, WY – 1 of the Top 10 Metro Areas to Buy Real Estate in the Next Few Years

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Bell Real Estate

In an article titled "Exploring the 10 top Metro Areas to Buy Real Estate in the Next Few Years, Part II" from FXSTREET.com, Diana Hill (Real Estate Investor Instructor) names Cheyenne as the no. 9 metro area to buy real estate in the next few years.  This is due to it being a smaller market that has seen a smaller drop in prices during the current downturn.  Because of this, Hill believes Cheyenne is more likely to have steady, sustained growth.

Here is a breakdown of numbers and a brief overview that Hill gives about Cheyenne:

Prices Forecast to increase: 23.7 percent

Population: 88,850

Median Price Home: $106,602

Median Family Income: $62,600

Housing prices only dropped 2.6 percent from the peak. They have seen appreciation in the last six months with the average time on the market becoming shorter. Unemployment is only 6.7 percent, once again, below the national average.

Other metro areas that rounded out the top 10 with Cheyenne include, Anchorage at no. 10, Santa Fe at no. 8 and Flagstaff at no. 7.

If you currently live in Cheyenne and are thinking of moving, maybe you should consider buying another real estate property in the Cheyenne area.  And if you don't currently live in the Cheyenne area, then you should consider moving here.  Whichever you may be, please contact me for more information about Cheyenne Real Estate.
