I have been tracking home sale statistics in Henry County for several years including new homes vs. resales. Here are the highlights for August, 2010.
There were more new homes sold in August than July in the $100-300,000 price range.
There were more resale homes sold in July than August in the $100-550,000 price range.
Homes under contract fell 11.6% from July to August.
Two homes sold in July or August over $450,000.
No new homes sold in July or August in the $250-290,000 range.
Average list price in August was $181,541 and the average sold price was $174,344 for homes in the $100-5,000,000 price range. That shows listings sold for 96% of listing price.
