Walking by Midtown Manhattan for the last couple years, we noticed a building going up right next to Empire State building and wondered what it will be. Now that we know it is the Setai Fifth Avenue hotel residences. Setai Fifth Avenue, this limestone hotel condo residences is north of the Empire State Building on 36th Street is the Midtown Setai, (not the same as Financial District Setai which is condominium only) with angular positioned glass windows and designed by Gwathmey Siegel.
Setai Fifth Avenue Residences has second-floor restaurant, the bar, the fitness center, the spa and other luxury amenities. The 190 condo residences is starting at the 31st floor, have a separate entrance at Fifth Avenue and 36th Street.

Setai Fifth Avenue Residences has been designed by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects, and consists of a 60-floor mixed use building. Topping the tower, starting at the 31st floor, will be 190 luxurious Manhattan residential condominiums with a separate residential entrance at Fifth Avenue and 36th Street. Interior design is by DAS Concepts, Inc., a company which has won international acclaim for its work. Principals of DAS include Don Siembieda and Francisco Jove.
