Smyrna Elementary School is the place to be this Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. The Butterflies and Friends Foundation is having a fall festival at Smyrna Elementary School. The Butterflies and Friend Foundation raises awareness about Epidermolysis Bullosa which is a genetic skin disorder. For more information, check out the foundation's website a www.butterfliesandfriends-foundation.com.
The children's activities include a magic show, a balloon artist, face painting, an inflatable moon walk (which is always a favorite), and an obstacle course. You can have photos made with Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, the Powder Puff Girls (my personal #1 choice - I loved that show!), the Red Power Ranger, Barney, and the Disney Princesses Tianna and Ariel.
Admission for adults is two canned goods, which will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank, or two dollars. Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 1:30 at a cost of only $5 for pizza or chili with a snack, dessert, and drink. That's a good deal.
There will also be raffles and auctions at 1:30 with prizes that include tickets to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, tickets to Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, and tickets to the Grand Ole Opry.
