Love this post, I try to blog as much as possible, but could never do 30 straight days, as I am out of town often. I love to blog, and love the Activerain community, and may be able to someday pull off the challenge, just not with my current work schedule

Back on August 11th I was scrolling through the blog dashboard and came across a post by Karen BernettiMy Journey to Becoming a Better Blogger -- Day 5.  Karen had decided to challenge herself and other ActiveRain members to make blogging a habit and in the process to become better bloggers.

I read her post and thought, "Good idea.  But I just started blogging in June of this year, I'm not ready to try doing it for 30 days straight."  But I was intrigued, and it only took me a few minutes before I said, "I'm in!  I'm in!"  And in I was!

Since the challenge was to blog for 30 days straight, I was able to count my posts from August 8th on, making my challenge end date September 6.

With my post from this morning BATTLESHIP ALIVE!,  I have done what I set out to do.  I have blogged original posts for 30 days straight. Crossing the finish line

I can't say they were all great posts, but I do think they have improved with time.  I've improved on my localism posts, I'm even hearing from potential buyers as a result of a couple of them.  And I picked up a listing from my post about selling vacant lots.  I think that's a pretty good return on investment!

I've met some really great professionals along the way as well.  Some of the tips they have been gracious enough to share have helped me with my business.  I fervently hope the readers of my posts were able to glean some helpful information as well.

There is no way for me to thank each one of them, we'd be here for days!  So I am only going to "call out" a few of them.  If I miss you, I promise I'll get to you -- I plan to be here for quite awhile so there will be time to mention all the great bloggers I've come across.

Karen Bernetti.  Karen started this whole thing, so if you have signed-on and are working on your own challenge, be sure to thank her.  Her post Why the "Home Team"? is a great peek into the kind of genuine person Karen is.

Lisa Orme.  Lisa is probably one of my favorite people here in The Rain.  Her posts are thoughtful, thought-provoking, often funny and always leave me feeling better about my profession.  (Pay particular attention to her company name.)  Her post Solving the Foreclosure Crisis--One Person at a Time is inspirational.

Mary Kay Hopkins.  Mary Kay is from the great State of Louisiana.  And her love of Lake Charles, LA is inspiring!  Her post An Evening with Danny O'Flaherty or "How to get offered a free i-pad!" is a joy and makes me a little sorry I don't live in Lake Charles.  She sounds like the kind of neighbor we would all like to have, and should try to be.

I was already following Liz & Bill Spear around the 'blog-o-sphere' when I started the challenge.  But they deserve mention here because it was their post Are you a Pop-Tart REALTOR? that led me to my one and only Feature; Yes, I am a Pop-Tart REALTOR. Now before you say "Newbie", let me tell you why.  They are funny, Gold Starkind and great cheerleaders!  Their wry observations of the Real Estate world are always spot on! And they seem to have some lady named Miss Bad Manners hanging out with them, she's a character you don't want to miss!

Steve Baklaich.  Karen Bernetti mentioned Steve in one of her blogs and I went over to check him out.  Steve is doing his own challenge, 100 Localism Posts in 100 days.  I'm learning all about St. Cloud, MN and loving it!   His blog Do you want an original, look here!  This home is NOT a cookie cutter! showcases one of the neatest homes I've ever seen.

Melissa Mckinney.  Like me, Melissa is listing and selling in the great State of North Carolina.  I've enjoyed following her blog, she's as down to earth as they come and her enthusiasm shows in everything she writes and says.  Her post Sometimes We May Not Get It ... is a thoughtful look at what we sometimes forget; yes it's a house to us, but it's a home to someone.

"Thank you" to all of you who have taken the time to read my posts and comment.  Even when you disagree with me, I'm always glad to have you stop by!Team Win!

I've had a good time the last 30 days.  The personal calls I received from Jane Herron, Bill Spear, Liz Baklaich made my heart dance!  The daily visits to my blog by Will Nesbitt, Leah Stern and Linda Scofield have been especially nice!

I don't know if I'll blog tomorrow.  I have a few drafts started, but I'm thinking I might take a day off.  Or maybe I'll just continue this streak and see how far I can go.  I didn't think I could do 30 days and then I did.  Who knows, maybe I'll make it to 60.  Or 90.  Or 120.  Or maybe I should have my head examined!

Ryan, if AR ever comes out with a mobile app that makes it "easy" to blog...maybe you could accept the 30-day blogging challenge! :)

The power of blogging is powerful ... I had a seller come in my office yesterday to list his home from a blog I wrote that someone else told him about.   I would not have written the blog, if it wasn't for the goal of the 30 Day Blog Challenge.

Blogging can and does get you noticed. It becomes easier with practice but one a day is a lot for most people.
