I have been really impressed by some of the recent events put on by our local association of realtors, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Association of Realtors. They have an upcoming event called "Pets on the Promenade, No Pet Left Behind".
Designed to promote awareness of the pets that are left behind and the ever increasing need for Adoption, October 23rd is designated Pets on the Promenade day. People can bring their pets (and their children :) ) to the promenade for events such as the Pet Adoption/Rescue Dog Parade, Police Dog demonstrations, Pet Training demonstrations, contests, and a pet parade.
Donations from the event go to local Animal Rescue Shelters. For more information go to www.pvpar.com and download the flyer. They are also looking for sponsors for booths and advertising.
