Services for Real Estate Pros with Doris Barber - Business Support Specialist

I'm so excited!  Tomorrow is my first class at L&F Real Estate Institute.

The administrative side of the real estate profession has always been interesting to me.  My interest peaked when one of my best friends became a Realtor.  I have been working with real estate professionals since then.

I finally decided to do something about additional training when a close relative of mine decided to purchase a house.  It was an emotional rollercoaster ride at many points, but also very intriguing  :-) Thankfully the deal went through and I came out with a greater respect for what Realtors do for their clients.  I've seen complaints on the web about how some agents don't deserve their commissions, but I think they do deserve them.  They not only offer expertise about the housing market, real estate law etc., but they are also become counselors to their clients through the many twists and turns of the real estate transaction and I don't know if you can put a price tag on that.

After I get my license I will start as a referrral agent, continue my services as a PREVA and then progress to full fledged real estate agent.  I want to get as much experience under my belt as possible before devoting to a full time career because I know that it is a lot of work to be an excellent agent and I never like to half-step in anything I do.   I'm so glad that I found about  Active Rain because it's a great place to learn.

In the meantime, I know that this additional training will really help my clients so that I can help them be the best real estate agents that they can be.

If you don't continue to move forward in life, the tide will push you off course.  Ever go to the beach, walk in up to your knees, and try to just stand there?  Doesn't work, does it.  Education is moving you forward.....GOOD FOR YOU!

Cheers, from Kensington...
