Grapefest 2010 - Grapevine, TXGrapefest 2010 officially kicked off yesterday for this 24th annual event in downtown Grapevine, TX. Named on of the Top 100 events for 2010 by the American Bus Association, Grapefest is the largest wine festival in the Southwest. Here are our top 5 things to do at Grapefest 2010:

5. Compete for the "Purple Foot Award" - Contestants compete for this coveted award in the annual GrapeStomp event  where your team of two will stomp 20 pounds of grapes with your bare feet in a wooden bucket.  

4. Ride the Grapevine Vintage Railroad - Take a 30 minute trip on the historic Grapevine Vintage Train and experience life as it was many years ago

3. Eat Festival Food - Grab an ear of roasted corn, a funnel cake, and a glass of freshly squeezed lemonade. Food vendors will be throughout the event with every tasty festival food you can dream of, even homemade root beer.

2. Participate in the Peoples Choice Wine Tasting - This is the largest consumer judged event in the United States where you get to pick the winners. For $20, which includes a souvenir wine glass, you can sample and vote on local Texas wines. No children are allowed in this area.

Le freak - Grapefest 20101. Le Freak  - This Grapefast staple (also the greatest disco band in the world) is a must see event on Saturday night. The band will play on the Gaylord Texan Stage located at Franklin and Main Street close to all the action and their concert starts at 10pm on Saturday night.
