Welcome to the Rhode Island Real Estate blog! I have been inspired by Active Rain to create a weblog that is solely dedicated to my professional life and here it is!
So, why the need for a blog? Well, first of all, I want to stay in touch with my clients (both current and prospective). I also want to give those interested in real estate a chance to understand everything from the basics to the most technical aspects of the field. Real estate can certainly be confusing, but with a little guidance, some time spent on research, and focused dedication, it can be one of the most rewarding investments. As an attorney licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, I can provide the necessary guidance. My professional network includes many qualified individuals from loan officers and real estate agents to home inspectors and appraisers. I take pride in working with the absolute BEST in the business.
My name is Richard M. Bianculli Jr., Esquire. I practice law at the law firm of Martinelli, Caputi and Associates, Ltd. The firm is located in Warwick, Rhode Island. Here, I specialize in real estate and environmental law. We also handle real estate closings (residential and commercial properties in RI, MA, NH, CT, and FL), real estate disputes, environmental matters, collections, wills, personal injury and other civil litigation matters. For more information about the services I provide, please consult my website HERE. For more information about our title company, please consult the Supreme Title & Escrow, Inc. website. We can handle every matter involving real estate and this ability to offer comprehensive legal services sets us apart from the rest.
I currently reside in the North End of Providence , the capital of our nation's smallest state. I'm originally from Worcester, Massachusetts and my folks still live in Auburn. My sister, Debra (25), is an amazing artist (currently residing in Los Angeles, CA). We both went to Syracuse University , where I double majored in Political Science and Psychology. I have always been a huge Orangemen basketball fan and I always will be! After college, I ventured further north to South Royalton, Vermont to attend Vermont Law School . Here, I received a Juris Doctor (law degree) as well as a Master of Studies in Environmental Law. I passed the Massachusetts and Rhode Island bar exams in 2003, moved to Providence in 2004, and purchased my first home in March of 2006. My girlfriend, the lovely Ms. Sarah Parrott, works at the International Institute of Rhode Island and recently opened her own custom stationery and design shop (check it out HERE!) .
This blog will have a main focus on real estate. Before we get to the nitty gritty regarding real estate, loans, agents, and the like, I want to shed a little light on some of my hobbies so you can get an understanding of the man behind the blog.
Let's see here... well you know I love real estate. After buying my first property, and as any homeowner will tell you, there's always something to do! Whether it's installing floors in the basement or replacing those old windows, the home projects never end! lol. Luckily, I sport a pretty decent green thumb. You can find me at my house watering plants, in the backyard , tending to veggies and flowers, digging in the dirt, or thinking up my next garden adventure. I love to learn about gardening and visiting others' creations. The best part is cooking with fresh, organic ingredients! My house has a decent little backyard... small space, but so many possibilities!!!
I am also a music lover. As a drummer in a local band (the Jordohn Bileau Collective ), I play a mix of rock, soul and funk. I also play guitar and bass and listen to all kinds of music from classical to rock with an emphasis on hip-hop and funk. As if I needed another home project, I'm currently building a digital home recording studio.
I love nature and the outdoors. Hiking, camping, birdwatching, running, softball, golf, going to the beach, snowboarding, you name it. I'm a true environmentalist. While real estate is always exciting, we need to protect the green spaces that are left here in New England. The amount of housing stock in this area is sufficient to maintain the population and many of the proposals for new construction are poorly designed and/or unnecessary. If someone needs legal assistance with regard to opposing a badly designed project, please let me know!
I love to volunteer when I have free time and the Audubon Society of Rhode Island is one of my favorite organizations.
Travelling is another passion, with Paris at the top of my list of favorite cities to visit.
Most of all, I love meeting new people on both the professional and personal level. Rhode Island (and New England for that matter) has so much to offer and it is best to be able to share it with like-minded individuals. I have a soft-spot for sushi and local seafood, so if you want to meet me for lunch sometime, feel free to give me a call! Networking is an art-form and my best business opportunities have always originated from qualified referrals and word-of-mouth. I am also the membership chair for a formal networking group (Live Wire) that meets every week here in Warwick. Any questions? Give me a call!
