Over the past few months I have been enjoying blogging about what it is about small towns, St. Marys that I feel makes it special. Yesterday when I was outside talking with the neighbourhood handy man contractor it reminded me of what I had heard the night before on the news. The news was talking about in large city how much you have to be careful of a contractor promising to do work and never seeing him again. The neighbourhood handy man and I spoke of this. We then went on to say "it so great to be able to check reference and see the workmanship before allowing someone to do the work." Which in a smaller community this seems easier. For when you do a good job lots of folks hear about it and you can get your name out there and get referals. Same pays true if you do a not so good job, and you continue living and working in that town, even more folks will hear about it.
Just a thought! Keeps all of us in line.
