YOUTUBE - Most Under- Utilized Tool In Real Estate

I was checking on real estate videos on YouTube for Detroit properties and found this....

"real estate detroit" results 1 - 20 of about 1,290 Result

That is outrageous to me. This is a very small number. But this should also be very exciting to sellers because it would be easy to stand out in this kind of market. For big industries the results can be much higher. You could be playing in markets of 47,000 + or even higher. I have seen these results go much higher and it is going to be tough to stand out in a market like that.....

But 1200 is a number you can beat. Or at least start to dominate, this all depends on how aggressive you are.

We had a collapse of newspapers in Metro Detroit including Pontiac, and Birmingham and even Ann Arbor. So what we are left with are a bunch of advertisers that have no place to go.

The web seems the most obvious choice but a lot of advertisers don't know how to use the web. So they spam eachother with email.... As ridiculous as this sounds this is what happens most frequently.

The other claim I hear constantly is "word of mouth". This depends on how good your network is. If you have a lot of cheap, chatty, gossipers who are borderline broke guess what kind of referals you are going to get.

Its not like that on the web because you can select who you want to market to.

I see numbers lie 1200 I get excited.

Here are the results for Atlanta
"atlanta real estate" results 1 - 20 of about 5,080

And what about the Empire State?
"new york real estate" results 1 - 20 of about 5,120

Amazing - and YouTube will let you go up to 15 minutes now... in HD up to 2GB.

Hi Ted: There's a lot of room out there for video to produce results! Good post, thanks.

Thanks Ted,

I have always had the same thoughts but putting it as such a no-brainer will motivate me to get something done on this front.
