This morning I went to a new members meeting for the Indio Chapter of the General Federation of Women's Club (GFWC). The GFWC has members located in cities throughout the State of California and is the largest women's volunteer organization worldwide. Does anyone belong to the organization or a similar one?
GFWC is a service organization built to support local women of all ages and the community at large. The Women's Club currently supports the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission and Indio Public Schools to name only a few.
It seems like a great orgainziation to become involved with as it seeks to motivate and educate members and the community on ways to achieve empowerment, high self-esteem and self-image for women. For only a small amount of money and a little time each month, the answer is clear to me, I will be joining!
