Canadian Dance Competition

Well, life is full of surprises!

One day I got away from the hustle and bustle of listing, selling and performing CMA's and went to check out the 'Latin Dancing' at the University of Lethbridge. Lo and behold I got sucked into dancing and I never danced in my life!!

I did a lesson or two in ballroom and likewise in Latin. I became hooked! A month later i found myself in Calgary Alberta in a Pro- Am Dance Competition!! I entered into four dances...newcomer Jive, newcomer cha cha, Bronze Level Jive and Bronze Level cha cha. I danced with all I had and ended up taking the first place spot in all four categories of Western Canada!! What a blast!

I signed up for the dance competition in Calgary again for this October. So I will see how it goes!!

This time I will be entering into Ballroom Waltz, Ballroom quickstep. Silver Level cha cha, silver level jive and maybe a ballroom foxtrot.

My mother is flying in from Vancouver to watch me this time so that will be cool because she doesn't believe I can dance!! "See me for yourself mom" I keep saying to her. So here she comes!

I have my website and on there I have a tab that reads 'meet Trevor' and in this section you can see pics of me in dance or go into facebook and view my profile.

Deborah, Competing is the other side of dancing.  The real competition is between you and your dancing!

Hello to all! Thanks for your comments and I really appreciate that you are dancing as well. What a beautiful way to spend your time!

This past weekend I competed again in Calgary for my second time!

I did very well and hope to go again in May of 2008. At this competition I got first in all of my dance entries (10). In the finals we had a multi dance competition and I came in second there, so all in all it was amazing to be there and learn more about dance!

Deborah, what are their names? I probably know them to see them but will have to lok up their names in the book from this competition to see if they were there or not.

Thanks for your comment!
