Its a sad day for Arena Football fans in Huntsville, Alabama. It is confirmed that our team, the Alabama Vipers will be moving to Atlanta and become the Georgia Force. The Vipers will make the announcement at the Gwinett Center in Georgia on Monday.
While the Vipers had a solid core of fans, Huntsville was the smallest market in the 15-team Arena Football League. Vipers' new home, the 11,000-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, is almost double the size of the VBC and gives the league a foothold in the lucrative Atlanta sports market.
It is hoped that another Arena team will be interested in this continuously growing City and make Huntsville their permanent home by next season!
