With over half a billion users, Facebook can be considered the third largest country in the world. It is a marketing force that cannot be ignored. More importantly, the average Facebook user is loyal, loyal, loyal. Its user visit Facebook more often than other websites, even Google.n Like it or not, incorporating Facebook into your marketing efforts in non-optional.

A few rules to live by:
  1. Take is slow. Be consistent and engage.
  2. Keep your personal profile personal.
  3. Set up a Fan Page for your Business

Actions For The Day - 1. If you're not on Facebook already, sign up. 2. Investigate Facebook Pages with a view to creating a Page for your Market. 3. Create a Facebook Page for your market. 4. Go to your Posterous account and add the Facebook Page to your Posterous content network.

Facebook is great.. it is hard to keep the business only on your page though... and... as you get more personable, that is when people want to do business with you.. thanks for the post..

Darren, you are welcome.  Facebook is an amazing and powerful resource.  Balance the personal with the business but do have a Facebook Fan page that is about the business.  It will definitely spill into the personal profile, it has to.  The key piece of information is to make sure that you personal profile isn't all business.
