Wow Judi. I have never seen anything quite like those. Thanks for sharing.
Judi, I wish I could figure out which ones you can eat and which ones are poisonous.
Judi, I never saw metal mushroom before, and they do look like metal from the pictures. Are they common in Oklahoma?
Marchel, Doug, Rita, and Dorie, I had never seen any like this before. They were growing in the back of the lakehouse in the edge of the woods. They were shiny gray, looked like aluminum. I doubt that they are good to eat.. I've always been afraid to even try to learn which ones are OK to consume.
Thanks everyone for coming by!
Judi
They are very interesting, I have never seen anything like them.
Good luck and success.

Judi - You never know when you will see a new species of mushrooms, in this case metal mushrooms!
Hey Judi, I have never heard of a metal mushroom. It’s time for a search on Google to find out more about them. They do not look like something I would want to eat.
Judy,
I did not know that you had these beautiful mushrooms around in your area, I don't see them often here, good shot !
Reminded me of a home in Bethesda MD where the owners turned it into a mushroom house. I was told this was the design of the architect Roy Mason in the seventies. We used to call it the "Shroom House". It feels like you are in Disney World when you see it. Unbelievable when you see it in a regular neighborhood.
They look like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. Or modern day housing for smurfs.
Mike~
