Business of the Week - Golden Spoon, Rohnert Park CA

Golden Spoon StoreIf you are already suffering from any kind of food addiction you might not want to read this blog post. Ever since the Golden Spoon in Rohnert Park, CA came to town, I've acquired an addiction for frozen yogurt. On my first visit, I opted for a small bowl of Low-fat Mango and was instantly hooked!

I try not to walk past the Golden Spoon very much, but it's located between my bank and my grocery store! I don't know how I can avoid it! Then the real clincher was when a new sign was installed ... FREE WI-FI! Mango frozen yogurt and FREE WI-FI ... I'm doomed!

Seriously, I was never much of a frozen yogurt fan but the Golden Spoon has the best I have ever tasted. Take a break from your office, take your laptop with you, and work in their wonderfully smelling air conditioned store. Or if you want to enjoy the fresh air, there are benches outside where you can be serenaded by their outdoor speakers.

Not addicted to food of any kind? Don't say I didn't warn you!

We have Pinkberry, Golden Spoon, Penguins, and every imagainable variation of frozen yogurt store here in L.A. They even sell it by the ounce! I have had a ten year addiction with frozen yogurt, but have finally broken myself of it. Unfortunately, it's still full of sugar which isn't so great for you, but definitely worth the occasional indulgence. My favorite is Mounds Bar! yum!

Cynthia, Sounds like a good place to blog and meet the locals...and enjoy frozen treats. Multi tasking at its best.

Sssssssssynthia, we have a similar issue here.  I don't think they're out your way, but there's a burger/frozen custard shop called Culvers in the area, originated out of Wisconsin.  And where are they?  In the parking lot of our office.  So every mail stop on Sunday after church...lunch!  And if we're bad, more than that during the week.

Cynthia, thankfully there's no Golden Spoon located anyplace near me.  I'm afraid I'd be prone to the same addiction.

I like your "Business of the Week" idea. I shall have to borrow it, if you don't mind!

Bree - by the ounce? You mean you can go in and get 1 oz of frozen yogurt? That's just too much of a tease, I couldn't do it!

Charles - that's what I'm thinking too, especially on hot days where my upstairs home office gets really, really warm.

Paul - I know what you mean!

BLiz - according to BDAMB, you have way too many s's in my name. Oh, I forgot, I don't know how to spell. OK, so why exactly are you doing a mail stop every Sunday? Can THAT addiction be tamed? You are right, I have never heard of Culver's. Do you have In-n-Out Burger? Now there is another REALLY bad idea.

Leah - I looked at their web site, their locations are in 5 U.S. states, Japan and the Philippines. Now that was pretty interesting to find out! The Golden Spoon definitely has an Asian influence.

Jim - run with it! I've met some very nice people by going in and talking to them. It's a great way to be able to hand your business cards out to businesses you like to patronize. Can I borrow Zoey The Cool Cat for a day?

Sssynthia (better??), We just hit the s button and stop when it feels right :)

We work out of our home office, so Sunday is our designated go by the office and pick up the mail day.  Our church is within a few miles of the office, so a quick swing by.  For the most part, mail is never urgent... people email/call if they want something quickly.  No In-N-Outs here to my knowledge.  I think Whataburger was here, but folded up.  Obama's favorite Five Guys has expanded into our area, but haven't tried them yet.

Scott - the free WI-FI seals the deal!

BLiz - come to think of it, I really don't do any business by mail any longer. I get my MLS and NAR/CAR/NorBAR dues by mail and that's it.
