Holey, Holey, Holey!

Way out west from Downtown Houston is a road with a personality all its own. We do not know for sure, but we feel that it is highly unlikely that the area has any crime problems. This is due to the fact that this gravel road has serious holes that are large enough to lose a Volkswagen in. Any attempt at any speed going down “Binford Circle” would be to threaten your front end suspension with complete annihalation.

Binford Circle comes off of Binford Road, which comes off of FM 2920 just before you get to Hwy 290. It is in the greater Hockley Waller area.

It was about 15 years ago that we learned of this enchanting road via listing a property to sell for a client. The house itself was a great deal like a rose among cacti.  There really wasn't any cacti but I'm sure you can get the analogy.  It was well kept and very nice. We felt that our vehicle at the time, a Honda Accord, was spared from harm by the unexpectedly quick sale of the property. It was indeed a gleeful experience.

The community owned a road maintainer to keep it navigable. In hind site we are fairly sure that the folks who remained living on Binford Circle did not like the fact that when we sold the home for our clients, we had also relocated the road maintenance operator.

We remember the area with great fondness. It was a place where you celebrated the little successes. Successes like getting in and out of the neighborhood on a daily basis.

Just another great example of a day in the life of a Realtor!

A hyper local story well told.

Your title got me.

The story was fun.

I did not expect the punch line...

Thanks
