Hey Jim - This sounds like a lot of fun! I love German food and if I could score airline tickets to Germany...good times!
Oktoberfests are a pretty big event around these parts, Ask Russel if he ever made it to the celebration in New Braunfels!
Have you ever made it out to this one Jim? I have heard about it for a couple of years now and it is in my neck of the woods and have never been! I love to go to Oktoberfest! No matter where it is. With a maiden name like Schmitt it is a wonder why....
Thanks to everyone for stopping by and commenting. Comments are greatly appreciated!
I'm trying to follow up on these older posts like this one to see if anyone had any questions or if I really need to respond to anyone's comments.
I will read all the comments and respond to any that need a response, but rather than making comments here in my post to each and every one of you, I'll just let everyone know that I have read all the comments and if there are any questions, I'll answer those in comments below this one. Otherwise I'll simply post this comment and then head over to your blogs soon to visit and do some reading and commenting. I hope you'll have a nice welcome mat out for me!
Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too! At the end of the 2010, which is the Chinese Year of the Tiger, I'm going to put together a slide show or an eBook of all the ActiveRain kitties. If you see any stray cats roaming around ActiveRain, gather them up and bring them over to our forever home right here! The more the merrier!
Also, if you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days. It has great pictures and cat trivia, and you can use it year after year since it only has dates but not years.
Best wishes to everyone for a great Fall!
Stephanie - Russel drags me to one each year, usually La Mesa or El Cajon.
Jim, the Santa Monica Oktoberfest has been postponed Cancelled as far as I am concerned so I have been sending people to El Cajon, since you said they are the best:))
