I am a Canadian.
But I have lived in Seattle for 30 years.
One day I was going up to visit my family, who mostly live in Surrey BC.
Stopped by my opthamologist, who is a friend.
"Canada - why are you going up there?"
"My family all live up there."
"Really? Are you the only American?"
"No - I am still a Canadian, after all these years."
"Oh! So you're not a citizen?"
"Of course I'm a citizen! A citizen of Canada!"
"You know what I mean. So, you can't vote?"
"Of course I can vote - IN CANADA!"
