Kate - It may be a good idea to use Google Adsense.  The problem will be that competitor ads or inappropriate ads will appear on the blog.

Hi Kate,

It seems intriguing to use Adsense. But it also feels like it takes something away from the friendly local blogger just talking about something of interest to him/her.

Mortgage Finders and Phil,  there is quite a debate among bloggers about monetizing blogs.  I'm firmly in the camp that if you are spending time blogging for business, there needs to be an ROI.  That ROI will be different for each blogger. 

Follow this module through to it's completion and you will see how adsense can be effectively used without hurting your blog or homey feel of your blog.
