The Collin County Master Gardners are having their annual fall bulb sale until October 4 2010. These are some great quality bulbs that local Master Gardeners offer. These bulbs must be picked up locally and if you forget, then they get donated or used in a local project. So go order yours today and get your hands dirty now for some amazing plants next year...

IrisI personally love the dutch iris. Its an amazing plant that gets tons of comments every year in the garden. I recommend planting them in a patch that looks like a naturalized spot in a field. Just stunning...

The great news is our wonderful local Master Gardeners have selected these bulbs for us, so we know they are good choices. They are easy to plant and grow. Their pricing is awesome and you can get a good idea of what the plants will look like. Just take your time and find a spot with the right amount of sun and then pick your favorites.

Try planting a formal edged bed of tulips or try the look of a naturalized field that came up on its own in the wild. Either way you won't be sorry you did.

Here is the list of bulbs being offered and here is the order form.

The main web page is located here.

Brent and Deb,   If only I had a green thumb.  I've tried and tried to grow bulbs but not that successful.   I wish mine would turnout like these pictures because I would have the prettiest yard in Prosper then.

@Barbara - I am signing up for next years Master Gardeners program. Deb has her staging ASP and I want to be a certified 'outdoor' stager. As a master gardner who does a landscaping review as part of our listing package its a huge draw.

@Pam - I love planting anything at all, bulbs are just happy plants...

@Stephanie - How can you not have a pretty yard in Prosper, I thought it was required by city statue. <grin> Prosper is a beautiful community, we almost built in the prospering farms area.

The pictures are beautiful.  I hope you were able to buy some bulbs for yourself and get some great flowers from them.

I agree, the pictures are fabulous. Love the dutch iris. Not surprised it gets tons of comments. (Although the daffodil is the Welsh national flower, so I probably should be more diplomatic about that).
